Statement of Christian Responsibility

Covenant Concerning the Church

We being led by the power of the Holy Spirit agree:

1. To support the leadership and administration of the church through Biblical Eldership.

2. To walk together in Christian love. (John 13:34-35)

3. To strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort. (II Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 4:3)

4. To promote this church’s prosperity and spirituality. (Philippians 1:27; II Corinthians 7:1)

5. To sustain this church’s worship practices, ordinances, discipline and doctrines. (Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 11:23-26; Jude 3)

Covenant Concerning Stewardship

We agree to financially support the Church by being a cheerful giver of tithes and offerings of income, which will be used by the church for the following:

1. The full administration of the church. (Malachi 3:8-10)

2. To fully support the ministry of the church in taking care of the benevolent needs of the body and the community. (I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 9:6-7 and Matthew 25:34-40)

3. To fund the spreading of the Gospel to all nations by way of various missions. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

4. And to maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90 percent of my income from the Lord. (II Corinthians 9:6-8)

Covenant Concerning Christian Living

We will always strive:

1. To Love God first and to show that love to one another in the body and to the world. (Deuteronomy 6:5, John 13:34; Romans 13:8)

2. To maintain our family and secret devotion time with the Lord. (I Thessalonians 5:17-18; Acts 17:11)

3. To maintain an active and maturing walk with the Lord in our homes and communities through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation. (II Timothy 2:15; I Timothy 3:4,5 and Acts 6:3)
