TOTAL CHURCH LIFE: Obedience to Christ – The Priority of the Church
The single top priority of the church is to be the body of Christ living in obedience to its head on mission with Him. The priority is implemented in a threefold way:
The church as the body of Christ will exalt the Savior. Jesus is the Head of the church, His body. He has the preeminence. We are to lift Him up in all things – exalt the Savior.
“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself." (John 12:32)
The church will equip the saints (Eph. 4:11-12). The church, the called-out ones, must be equipped to live the Christ-life and to extend His life to others. When God’s people are equipped, they will do the work the ministry and build up the body of Christ-equip the saints.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,” (Ephesians 4:11-12)
The church will evangelize the sinner (Acts 1:8). If Christ is exalted, if the people of God are equipped for the ministry, then the church will reach the lost. The mission of Jesus in our world is to seek and to save the lost. If a church is His body, He lives within. His mission becomes our mission. As beats the heart of Jesus, so beats the heart of His body, the church.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
Our goal: 365, 1 a day = 51,115 souls!
We promise to conduct our lives in such a way as to glorify the Lord and promote the ongoing of these Church ministries.
